Tourist Information
- Casa in Trastevere no. 2 is located in
Vicolo Moroni, in the heart of Trastevere area, at a stone throw from Piazza Trilussa,
Lungotevere (the Tiber river embankment), the 16th century's Ponte Sisto and the
magnificent early Christian church Santa Maria in Trastevere.
Vicolo Moroni is a little blind alley barred by the city walls built by order of
the emperor Aurelian and closed to traffic. Not far from there you'll find the Farnesina
Palace with Raphael's paintings and the places dear to 'the Fornarina' (the Raphael's
favorite model), the famous Villa Corsini picture gallery and the Botanical Garden.
Hardly leaving Vicolo Moroni you'll be in the middle of Trastevere area with its
busy squares and lanes, a real labyrinth of narrow streets, with its ancient churches,
illustrious memories and tens and tens of small restaurants, wine bars and eating
spots for every tastes and pockets.
